Loas but not least

What a truly amazing country Laos is.

Incredible mountains, welcoming locals, excellent food, somewhat familiar boat life and road surfaces so bad your mountain bike will always feel at home.

A month was nowhere near long enough for us to explore properly. Without camping gear we found that we couldn't stray too far away from the main tourist trail, but that's all good - it was a blast.

Everything south of Vientiane and north of Muang Ngoy are yet to be cycled, hiked or kayaked by us. Pedalling in from Yunnan province on fold-ups and paddling packrafts down the Mekong all the way to Ho Chi Minh are on a list.
