Beaver Kits on the Avon, June 2026

It's kit season! Two beaver kits emerged from the lodge in mid June, and it's been a joy watching them figure out how to do beaver stuff. This footage is from some cameras near the lodge.

I haven't seen both kits together for about a week now. There was a mink about, but otters and pike take kits too, and sometimes they just don't make it. Hopefully this little one will make it to adulthood.
